This study investigated the impact of Nasarawa State Community and Social Development Agency on Rural Development of some selected communities in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The study adopted a survey research method and relied on both primary and secondary sources of data. The main instrument for collecting primary data was the survey questionnaire which was completed by documentary sources. The method of data analysis employed was the simple conversion of frequencies to percentages and presented in a tabular form. The data was analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 17 while the hypotheses were testing using Chi-square (χ2) at 0.05 level of significant. The findings of the study showed that there is a strong significant relationship between observed responses on how the initiative of the projects came about and observed responses on whether they are the needed projects. This implies that Nasarawa State Community and Social Development Agency has performed significantly well in terms of rural development in the State. It was also revealed that most projects failed due to lack of funds and poor execution. The study recommends that successful rural development project requires co-ordination of the activities of several independent sectors and groups for effective performance. Nasarawa State Government is therefore encouraged to utilize this project to make its presence felt at the grass roots through prompt release of its counterpart contribution and finances in order to ensure sustainability of the agency programmes.
